Dakota Clark

11/13/13

It was a cool winter morning when I first saw this big beautiful creature walking took me  I was in shock. It was a walking in the shadows of the trees with spots of sunlight shining through the leave. It was walking on the fresh powder of snow. It was walking so graceful and quite. When this creature started to realize that it wasn’t alone I pulled the trigger and then it fell and jump up and when it jumped my heart almost seam to stop because when it jumped up it blocked the sun so I could only see the outline of it body but it lost it antlers. When it did this I was confused at first because it didn’t look the same without the antlers. When I walked up to the creature I found both antlers on the ground be hide him. Then I realized that they had fallen off.

As a trophy we keep the head and antlers along with the meat. Every time I look at it I remember that morning when I got him. I also remember the feeling of him walking up to me, the feeling of excitement and the adrenalin. The adrenalin is a good thing and a bad thing. The adrenalin makes you only see the deer and nothing else. The bad thing about it if you don’t stop and think and watch what you are doing you could shoot someone. Another bad is you get in a hurry to shoot and don’t take enough time to shoot. Before that happed I stopped myself and took the time to aim because for me it was one I didn’t want to miss. And the feeling knowing that I got him the excitement brought a smile to my face.

Things you can't learn in school

Dakota Clark

Thing you Can’t Learn in School

Some things that you can’t learn in school are street smarts or how to work with your hands. Street smarts are just as important than school. In some jobs it is more important to the people running the company to have street smarts because sometimes you can learn more useful things on the street than in school.  The job that I have now it is better to have the street smarts then the school smarts. The job that I do is working on a construction company and all the skills you need to know they can teach you. The only school that can teach you these skills is an operating school. Even if you go to an operating school, the company that hires you might not agree with how the school teaches you how to do something.
